About Us

Growing up in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the two of us, Jason Kokoszka and Michael Kokoszka, have religiously followed Rutgers Athletics since early childhood. From the days of being ball boys for the football team or attending the basketball doubleheaders at the RAC, Rutgers Athletics has been close to our hearts. Irrespective of the results on the field or on the court, our family has been staunch supporters of Rutgers Athletics since the early 1970's.

Over the years we felt a desire to get more involved with Rutgers Athletics and provide even more support than in previous years. We both decided to join the Rutgers Touchdown Club and have been active members for a number of years. Jason is the treasurer of the Club and Mike is the merchandise chair. We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the number of members increase over the years, but also, enjoyed seeing the Club's fundraising increase as well.

The Club also gave us an opportunity to meet numerous other loyal supporters of Rutgers Athletics and create new friendships that continue to this day. One such friendship turned into a business relationship with our third partner Wayne Irvine.

Wayne is a graduate of Rutgers and shares our passion for Rutgers Athletics and the University as a whole.

The result of this friendship in part is the creation of "ruknightsgear.com". Collectively, we were frustrated with the lack of Rutgers apparel and merchandise available to the general public and alumni. We decided to create this store front website with the hope of providing Rutgers fans with an eclectic line of merchandise and apparel at a consumer friendly price. Just as important, we wanted an avenue to continue to support Rutgers Athletics in a more profound way. Therefore, with each sale of our merchandise and apparel our company will donate a percentage back to Rutgers Athletics to support ALL of our student athletes.

These are exciting times at Rutgers University with the success of a number of our sports teams. Please join us in our endeavor to support our student athletes at the highest level.
